In order to get better facilities of education to the children of slum and middle working class people in Jogeshwari (E), our great Guru, an educationalist Late Yashwantraoji Bhikaji Chavan realize the need of starting a school. Under the banner of Vidyarthi Vikas Mandal's, 'SHRAMIK VIDYALAYA' was founded on 3rd March 1983. In the beginning, starting strength was 45 students which is now increased up to 3500. In the year 2008 our school celebrated Silver Jubilee. Government of Maharashtra and Mumbai Municipal Corporation have honoured the school by 'THE BEST SCHOOL' & 'IDEAL SCHOOL AWARD' respectively for the excellent educational as well as co - curricular achievements.
